Questions

I can download mail but I can not send mail from my computer What have I done wrong ?

The issue is with your outgoing mail server. Please contact your ISP to find the correct settings. It may be that you need to use smtp instead of mail for your outgoing mail settings or they may ask you to use a certain port. Your ISP, is the company that provides you with internet connectivity.

Can I leave mail on the server?

Each plan has an allocated mail box size. Though you can leave mail on the server, by choosing a setting on your mail client, we recommend you keep track of how many messages are accumulating in your mail box to prevent your mail box for getting too full because once your mail box is full, it will stop receiving mail.

I cannot send or receive mail but I can log in to webmail to send and receive mail. What is wrong?

You will need to check your incoming and outgoing mail servers are set correctly. Your incoming mail server must match your domain name. eg. the mail server for passioncomputing.com.au is mail.passioncomputing.com.au NOT mail.passioncomputing.com . If your outgoing mail server does not work, you will need to check your ISP. Do this by sending mail from your ISP email account and use the same outgoing mail server on the email account associated with your domain name.

Webmail is not resolving to a login page for me to login to access my mail, and I cannot send or receive mail. What is wrong?

Firstly check that you have set up your mail boxes correctly and that webmail is activated. The webmail box must be ticked.

Inserted Pic If this is correct, then navigate to zone files

You should have 2 MX records and 4 A records, that look like the following. (The ip address may be different but the records should look very similar).

If you have followed the instructions above, and checked your zone files, and you still have problems, please email sales@passioncomputing.com.au with a detailed explanation and we will help you resolve the problem.
